Today we asked the kiddos to be in our wedding.
Talk about a fun day.
We started with lunch at the Monaco's. Leanna, our flower girl, and her baby sister Makenna were spending the weekend with the Monaco family. Leanna was at Nathan's house the night of our first date. After dinner, Nathan took me to meet his parents and Lulu and I made an instant connection. Now adays we love to read stories and play games together, and she always has a giant hug for me. :)
Today, Nathan and I asked Leanna and her parents to do us the honor of being the flower girl in our wedding. Mom and I found the most perfect book at Borders. It's called One Little Flower Girl. It was the perfect book to explain to Lulu what her special job will be on our big day. We also had Bridal Barbie and Tuxedo Ken. :) She LOVED it!
In the evening, the Sarris family had us over for dinner. We visited with the greatest family ever for the evening. I have had both boys, Dean and Luke, in school. Their Yaya was my cheerleading coach in middle school. So I have a lovely history with this family. Mike made us homemade pizza with the recipe from his old restaurant. After chatting and pizza, Nathan and I asked Luke our "important question". I gave him a picture frame with three spaces for photos. One was filled with our most recent picture (thanks Allison). The other two are saved for pictures of Luke and Miss Bosworth from upcoming special events. We're going to plan a special "date" and spend some time together sometime soon. We're thinking a movie sounds fun! The other spot is for a photo from the wedding. Luke knew EXACTLY what a ring bearer does. He will "carry the rings on a pillow and wear his first tuxedo". :) He was happy as could be, but not happier than me.
Today was a fun day. Thanks to everyone who made it special.
