Ski Trip 2010

Well Ski Trip to 2010 was quite successful.

Mom, Dad, and Jamie left on Friday afternoon and got to the condo in time to ski on Friday night. Nathan drove up from Cinci and got to Canton around 2:15. He spent the rest of his afternoon in kindergarten! :) YAY! That was his first official visit.

As soon as I could get out of that building, Nathan and I headed to Holiday Valley. After the 3-1/2 hour drive, we arrived at the Snow Pine Village. Mom had dinner ready for us. We hugged and got all of our luggage in and ATE! It was delicious!

For the rest of the night we just watched a movie and relaxed in order to get geared up for our big day on Saturday.

We spent Saturday with some good friends. Brian and Chris Valot, and Chris, David, and Elizabeth Baio.

Saturday morning was FREEZING! We were definitely bundling up for negative temps. Because of that, we really didn't take many pictures out on the slopes, we knew that if we did, our fingers would be exposed. (We knew better than to expose any skin.)

After everyone was exhausted and cleaned up from skiing, we headed down to little Ellicotville to do some shopping and have bite to eat. (The girls did more shopping than the guys, naturally.)

We had a before dinner drink at dina's, a yearly tradition. Then we went to Tips Up Cafe for dinner. Tips Up is known for their salad dressing. We got that advice from someone on the ski lift...reallly good, home made, you've gotta try... I didn't really eat my salad though. Little Elizabeth and I were making paper dolls during the salad part of dinner. :) That was more fun!

Jamie and Nathan had a couple of trademark moves. For one, they dropped a lot of stuff in the snow when they were packing up the cars to go home. The better blooper was when they returned Dad's skis to the rental shop instead of the ones that Nathan actually rented. Oops. Luckily, they were able to save the day on Sunday when we realized the mistake. Dad has his skis. That could have been bad.

Good friends, good times, good memories. The captions in the pictures tell a bit more of the story.
