You know when you call Time Warner Cable to set up an installation or service call they give you a two hour window in which they plan to arrive? And if you don't answer your phone within that two hour window they will say that you weren't home and they won't come...but if you're in the restroom, or changing the laundry and you really are home, they really don't care because you're one less call the have to make...? Well, I don't even think they should give that two hour window time frame because all they do is come five minutes before the two hours is up. So why don't they cut the crap about showing up between 10-12 when they could just say that the appointment is at 11:55 and everyone would be happy.
Well, they got us again! 11:55 our friendly cable man showed up. We were planning a trip to Pittsburgh as soon as he was gone. We wanted to make a trip to IKEA and visit Court and her family for dinner. But, per usual, the cable man put a wrench in things.
We went to Pittsburgh. We go there around 4:15. Our dinner plans with Court were at 5. :) So, we did one lap around IKEA and headed to Lonestar for dinner. After experiencing a rock come through the window from some bar fight, we said our goodbyes and headed back to IKEA to make our purchases. The trip was a bit disjointed, but we got our goods all the same.
