"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet."
Mary and I LOVE to quote Shakespeare. Yes, we know about 3-4 parts of Romeo and Juliet very very well! :) Impressive, right?
On Wednesday I worked on making Miss Amelia's nursery a bit more girly. (What did I ever blog about before my daughter?) I did a quick, fun, craft that kept the two of us busy for the day. This was a one day project and an idea that I literally stole by Google-ing "letters for nursery". I mimicked the first link that came up.
In one quick trip to Hobby Lobby I bought:
- wooden letters
- 6 pieces of scrap-booking paper
- Mod Podge (the matte drying type) and,
- a spool of ribbon.
At home, I traced the letters onto the scrapbook paper (in the store I had them all spread out on the ground next to each other to make sure I chose six pieces that complimented each other well). I cut out the letters and used the Mod Podge to glue the paper to the top of the wooden cutouts. Then, I used the hot glue gun to attach two pieces of ribbon to each letter. I tied a cute bow at the top and Voila! (wa-lah!, as the French would say) Amelia's nursery looks a million times cuter.
Fun.
Gimme an ....A!
Gimme an ...M!
Gimme an ...E!
...you get the point...
