Currently...

Well, this is nice.  Our baby is sleeping. Nathan is home. House is relatively clean and put together.

We're sitting on the couch watching a movie! WOW.

In my last post we were playing "the name game".  I've done a terrible job of "Keep you posted".

We now have a little girl.
She has a name.
She is perfect.

Amelia Ann was born on May 29, 2012 at 10:08 PM. 6 pounds. 12 ounces. 20 inches long.  If we're facebook friends, chances are that you've seen a picture of our darling little one.  I've given snapshots (no pun intended) of her life to date but haven't taken the time to tell the stories behind the photos. As many of you know, Mommyhood consists of VERY bust days after which you can't remember what you actually did.  My life home with Amelia proves no different.

I keep thinking about all the fun things I'd like to blog: labor and delivery, our first trip to Canton, the Tennessee wedding, baby "firsts" (bath, bottle, boat ride, etc.), cookouts and July 4th.  If I started at the beginning and tried to tell all the stories, one at a time, I'm afraid I would never catch up.  So I've decided that, for now, I'll skip all the back tracking and start from today! I'm going to do my best to tell the stories of our wonderful little life.

Currently, we are enjoying a calm Friday night at home. Today was Amelia's one month well child checkup.  She cried the entire time. :) That's my girl! She was sleeping soundly when I woke her up to go.  Needless to say, she wasn't happy about be undressed and fussed with in the middle of a deep sleep.  I'm not sure that Dr. Russo actually heard her heartbeat over the crying!

Her current stats:
8 pounds 15 ounces
21 inches long

Mommy cried at the doctor's office today too.  Amelia got a shot and, oh boy, did she wail.  It was the dreaded "silent cry" and I could just see her little face in pain.  I cried and I hope that it was more painful for Mommy than it was for Baby.
