Miss Irons had tickets to go see Carrie. We'd be talking about her exciting plans for a week, and I made sure to tell her each time how jealous I was that she was going to see one of country music's greatest!
So "Carrie Day" (as she'd been calling it) rolled around. She made sure to get her work together so she could leave PRONTO after school was over. After she left she called to ask me to look for her tickets at school. She couldn't find them! So we located the tickets. THEN about 20 minutes later...she called back. So I'm thinking..."this is weird, why's she calling back".
Me: Hello?!
Nellie: What are you doing tonight?
Me: um...nothing
Nellie: Want to come to Carrie??
Me: ABSOLUTELY!
Apparently one of their friends who'd bought a ticket backed out. So...lucky me! :)
Little Big Town opened for Carrie. Great!
Carrie was basically perfect. We sang along. A real good, feel good time!
