We had quite a day! Elizabeth arrived with some of her favorite toys at 8:30 a.m.. We got down to business right away! Elizabeth spent the morning drawing and singing. She made a beautiful birthday card for Erin. Then we decided that we would make a cake for Erin's birthday. Erin told us that her favorite color was red. She decided that she wanted a red cake! Elizabeth and I needed to make a trip to the store. We made a list of the 4 things we would need:
1. red cake
2. AAA batteries (these had nothing to do with the cake!)
3. icing
4. candles
Elizabeth wrote the shopping list for us, and we headed out to the store. We came home to bake, draw, color, and continue singing! :)
By the time our cake was finished, our bellies were telling us that it was time for lunch. Scott told us that we could come visit him at work for lunch. Elizabeth decided that we should take him Subway. So after a pit stop for a completely plain ham sandwich for Elizabeth and a loaded turkey sub for dad and I...we headed into the office. The food was great, but the highlight of the office trip was definitely catching turtles in Scott's office aquarium. We named the turtles as well (an overdue task). Cuff and Link. (They aren't very smart and very easy to catch).
We stopped at one more store before coming home for some more coloring and a few great episodes of Spongebob. :) I had a tired little girl by the end of the day.
I'd do it again!
